Discover If Teeth Whitening Can Work For You

Dec 23 • 3 minute read

Are you unsatisfied with the way your teeth look? You’re far from alone. In our culture, bright, white teeth are the ideal. Despite being conscientious about brushing and flossing regularly and visiting the dentist at least twice a year, though, yours may be losing their luster. Could teeth whitening be the answer? At Frost Dental Group, we think everyone deserves to have the brightest, whitest, most attractive smile possible, which is why we are proud to offer the GLO teeth whitening system. Is it right for you? If you want to put your most dazzling smile forward, it probably is!

Considerations to Make before Having Your Teeth Whitened

As tempting as it may be to go right ahead with teeth whitening, it’s smart to consider a few things first. Frost Dental Group has successfully whitened the teeth of countless patients, but we believe in educating them properly about the process first. With that in mind, ask yourself the following questions before having your teeth whitened:

Are you self-conscious about your teeth? If you’re reluctant to smile or even try to cover your mouth because you’re embarrassed about stains and other imperfections, you are probably an ideal candidate for teeth whitening.

– Do you have realistic expectations? The GLO teeth whitening system is among the best available today. Still, it’s not a magic bullet. Depending on the condition of your teeth, you may need to undergo several applications before you arrive at a look that makes you happy.

Have you tried over-the-counter options without success? From whitening toothpastes to teeth-whitening kits that are sold in drugstores, you may have struck out time and again. Such products are effective in some cases, but they generally fall short on teeth that are more severely stained or for other reasons.

Introducing the GLO Teeth Whitening System

If you’re self-conscious about stains and other imperfections on your teeth and would like to try teeth whitening, we’re confident that you’ll be thrilled by the GLO teeth whitening system.

GLO stands for guided light optics, which is the technology that’s used to activate the whitening gel. GLO is effective and gentler than most options for teeth whitening, as it does not use a UV light and temperatures of whitening treatment are cooler than other popular in-office whitening brands. The GLO system is a two-step process:

1.) In-Office Treatment: The GLO system features a mouthpiece with LED lights and heat resistors that is placed in the mouth after the whitening gel has been applied to the teeth by Dr. Frost. Because the light used does not emit ultra-violet rays, the patient does not have to be protected from any harsh light during treatment and there is zero sensitivity post-treatment. You will only remain in the dentist’s chair for whitening treatment for a little over 30 minutes and will be able to see a smile that is 5 shades whiter.
2.) At-Home Care: After you have completed your in office treatment, you will receive a take-home kit from Dr. Frost. While it’s in place, you can carry on about your daily business. The lights and resistors in the mouthpiece activate the whitening gel to quickly and effectively whiten teeth. Take-home whitening should begin 48 hours after your in-office treatment, and 1-2 times a month after that.
The Perfect Teeth-Whitening Solution for Busy People

Perhaps you’ve held off on professional teeth whitening because you can’t spare the time to sit in a dentist’s office for hours on end. At Frost Dental Group, we understand. The GLO teeth whitening system is designed to be used at home in conjunction with one speedy office visit. Unlike the products you’ll find at the drugstore, though, it’s used under the supervision and guidance of an experienced dentist.

If you’re ready to regain your self-confidence and want to flash the most dazzling smile possible from this point forward, contact Frost Dental Group and ask about the GLO teeth whitening system today!
